If I wear a paint mask(standard cheap mask at Home Depot) and have a fan blowing the fumes out the door, am I okay? I really want to pour some soft plastics, but I don't want to harm myself. Are there any health risks that have been known to occur?

depends on the mask, a dust mask offers zero protection. the proper mask will require you to replace the cartridges periodically as well.

You should definetifly wear a respirator...otherwise you will recognize that the fumes are not good for your health...irritated mucous membranes in the throat, your eyes and in your nose will be the first signs without protection.

I'm currently using a 3M Mask, but I'm still not sure which is really the right filter to get full protection.

Does anybody know which filters to use from 3M to get a proper protection??

Do you know if a cheap paint mask is enough when you are airbrushing?
