Air Compressor

Recommended Posts

If it has a regulator that you can dial down the pressue recommended by your airbrush then absolutely. It doesn't matter the size of the compressor for airbrushing, it matters if you can dial down the pressure. Also, it should have a moisture trap to avoid moisture in the paint.

I have a similar compressor in my garage. I also have a small airbrush compressor but it was too week to deliver a consistant stream of air so I bought a seperate pressure reg and water trap filter and mounted it on my bench. I ran a hose from the big compressor to the reg and set-up my 10ft airbrush hose with quick disconnect from it. Now if I want to change pressures the reg is close at hand and easy to adjust. Also with a storage tank I get a very consistant air flow. This set-up works great.
