Injected Plastic Lip

Recommended Posts

I'd agree with Mark that injecting plastic lips could be VERY tough without the proper equipment/molds/etc.

With that being said.... there are probably a couple ways you may be able to do something close with 2-part resins instead of trying to work with hot plastic. If I were to take a crack at it, instead of trying to inject.... I'd likely make a two part mold that I could pour down into... let cure - demold and then cut off the sprue. Issues will be you'll likely need to vibrate to get air bubbles out, choice of available resins/materials and other things like shrinkage and curing times.... but It's totally feasible this way and shouldn't cost a ton of money to make some molds and try it out.
