How do you know the size bait the lips are designed for?

Mark , I've just checked the sizes of the saddle lips available on that Finnish site(Google translator did work out , ....at least to a certain extend ) , ........these are 16mm to 25mm diameter .
These lips are designed for slender minnow-style lures , ......so I'd say that 2 1/2" to a max. of 6" body length is possible , depending on the lip size one uses , ........provided , that the bait is slender and narrow bodied .
Off course one can make a smaller , say 2 1/2" to 3" fatter bodied lure using the largest 25mm dia lip .
Cheers , Dieter

Thank you for the tip about Google translate.
I did run into another problem though. I went through the whole process of registering to the website and even added some things to my shopping cart. When I got to the checkout process, it never asked for a credit card number, but gave me the option of paying at the post office when I pick it up?
This really did not make any sense to me, and why it couldn't be delivered to my house, bur rather to the post office for pickup?
If anybody could help me out with this that would be great.

This is what used to be COD in the US. In Europe the post office will still hold your mail as collateral until the bill is paid. According to USPS.com it is still an option but most US businesses won't take the risk, or maybe additional time and fees.
I believe that when you select USA from the drop down menu it will let you select your address as for the credit card option, I have no idea why it wouldn't offer it. You may have to submit the order with a comment or contact their customer service department.

Not familiar to US coins , Mark , ...but I'm sure , that these are not cupped somehow , LOL .
If you want , I could shoot some photos of book pictures showing some handcrafted Finnish lures equipped with such lips , ...sorry , but I do not have a scanner , .......just to give you an idea of their looks .
I own a few of such baits as well , ...but looking for them down the shop would take ages !

...........alright , taken the time to take a few snapshots from a book compilation of the work of Finnish hobby lures carvers , .....sorry for the bad quality .
These are typical Finnish baits , most likely carved from balsa and equippped with those typical saddle lips , ......sizes range from 50mm(2") to 145mm (5 3/4") , often stated at the bottom of the text on pages .
Note the longer , protruding tow eyes providing many options for tuning these lures(but also works with screw eyes) .
Cheers , Dieter

Thanks for the pictures Dieter. Those are very nice lures.
I ordered several of the scatter lip Rapala lures, and I'll be able to see up close how they're made, and perform.
I'll post more once I've gotten them.

I took a scatter rap minnow out for a test the other day and my only complaint is it did not hunt until you reached a certain speed and that was to fast for cold conditions we have right now. The hunting action would be great for trolling and I believe it will be a very versatile bait.Even more so than the origanal it dives faster and farther and it can also be used as a dive and rise jerk bait. I hope they make them in a magnum size for bigger fish.

I made one of these recently. It cast great! It cast so well in fact that it broke the line mid cast and kept on going. I had to walk around the lake to look for it. I got lucky, the wind was strong and found it!
Anyway I had the same issue as ROWINGADUBAY, it would not shift from side to side until you got to pretty high speeds. Too fast for this weather. other than that the lip makes it swim great!

I bought a few scatter lips at Bass Pro last week. Will be taking them fishing Wednesday, I got two #5 scatter raps, two #7's and a count down. Will take a close up pic of them and post. It is a neat looking lip. I think it is doable with a set-up like Pete made to bend lips with.
