Other Forums?

try an internet search using 'fishing lure making forums'.  There are other forums out there (too many to just list here) but there's only one TU and its the first site I go to.  Other sites have posts that for an answer to go to TU.  By searching you can save the names & links to your browser for the ones you like.  Will save you typing in the names.

Stripers Online has a pretty good forum.  Bassresource.com and Bass Boat Central also have forums but they are secondary to the main thrust of the sites.  There are a few sites that concentrate on pike and musky lures.  None of them contain the detail available here on TU.

I find that most other forums are just small cliques and are very close minded. If you go against the in house Gurus, you get chastised. Everything, i've learned about tacklemaking I learned here. I would suggest that any newcomer read every.....and I mean every thread in the area they want to learn about  as well as use the search engine. The search engine is invaluable because you get the opportunity to ready many different threads on the same topic as opposed to asking a question and receiving just a few answers or opinions. Works for me....!

What are some other forums like tackleunderground?

Don't think so , ...not with contents as extensive .

Many angling or lure-related sites have luremaking sections though , .....and there are also more local sites in different countries , but rather impossible to participate , if one does not understand the particular languages .

Nevertheless I find it worthwile to drop by , if one could find sucha site , often interesting things to see , even if one cant understand the text or video audios .

..........but none like TU , ....for sure !

http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=&to=en&a=http%3A%2F%2Fmt-lures.forumprofi.de%2Findex.php

And a site for the Baltic states like Estonia, Lithunia , Latvia , Finland and also Russia :

http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=&to=en&a=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.striborg.ee%2Findex.php%3Fsid%3D4e61b5a87a675ff9c03465efc45621bb

The Australian site www.lureandmore.com has already been mentioned by Dave , ......personally I really like it to "look over the fence" to check out different lure designs from other countries or continents , .......so much variety and different styles of lures , some well worthwile to try out for my own fishing !

X2

I used to follow a dozen or so. I took part in 3, but not to the extent I did with TU.

Dave

Participating in more forums than that becomes too much , I guess , ...still need leisure time for fishing and carving  !
