I know they are heavy and old but love them dearly also the flippin feature! I installed new bearings and didn't help at all. Was wondering if the experts here could tell me which parts to replace! RayburnGuy Posted January 6, 2014 Report Share Posted January 6, 2014 Gotta love those ABU's. Been fishing with them since I was just a kid. Do they "rumble" during the cast or just during the retrieve? If it's just during the retrieve it might be the gears are worn. Try putting a good coating of grease on the gears and see if it quiets them any. If it does then you might try putting a set of gears in one of them and see if that cures the problem.
