Whats the best way to "seal the wood"

Recommended Posts

There is a lot of guys who know more about this than me. Coley just gave you some more ideas. Which ever you do, it is very important to sand // scuff it up before you start painting. The bait you saw has balsa in it so I used Devcon.

:D hey terry, it's jeff from colliers wv. i use a sanding-sealer that is used on wood doors or whatever. i use either minn wax or sherwin williams brand but make sure you don't get the laquer sealer it has a bad effect on some paints i've tried. also talked to skeeter two weekends ago when i went to north carolina to check on my house there and i think he was having a problem with the laquer also(skeeter is a very smart man concering making crankbaits and using devcon as a top coat) so give it a try.
