Need Darker Brown Than The Standard Color

Recommended Posts

You can blend them but I doubt you'll get the color you want as I've had trouble with dark colors blending well. My advice would be to check out Columbia coatings, Roseys, or another powder paint supplier and look to see if there is a dark enough brown. Columbia has one called brown finish, it is awesome and dark but has a metallic look to and it may not be what you're looking for.

Like mentioned you can mix the  black and brown, but you won't get a true solid pigmented color. You may get slight shade differences in the jig. However depends on how much you care, it may not matter. There is a color that I use and it is call Patrician bronze, which is a very dark brown black. See if you can't find it. If not how much do you need, as I might be able to help you.

Well, I got tired of looking at color samples, and just threw some black into the brown I had in my fluid bed, mixed it up and it was almost exactly what I wanted. The xyl said is was a little darker than my sample jighead, but I'll take it. Thanks guys for all of your input.
