Tube Mold

Recommended Posts

It is a 3.5 slender tube mold made by Anglin AI. I contacted them and he also directed me to it on lurecraft.

TSIC: How did you adapt the cutting block to your press? I don't own a drill press however i was thinking about buying a small, hand operated 1 ton press from harbor freight.

An arbor press is a handy tool.  I've got a big heavy one (3 ton?  6 ton? I forget).  I use it with a cheater bar handle to punch out sheet metal, and to press fit pins in molds.  (I don't need the cheater for most things including pressing pins)  It works great for that. A one ton should be MORE than adequate to push some razor blades through some soft plastic.  LOL.

I am curious how the drill press adaptation has an advantage over the press cutter LureCraft sells.  It seems like their press would be a single motion and done.  I am sure I don't see the distinction, but how is adapting it to a drill press more efficient?
