Matching Paints

Recommended Posts

Hey guys a buddy of mine wants me to paint him some lures.  He is requesting a color that is found on many name brand lures.  It is the white with a blueish hue found on lures such as Megabass/Luck-e-strike french pearl, Strike King Chartreuse Shad, Megabass Sexy Shad, etc.

If any of you can help me out with that, it would be greatly appreciated!

Could you do me a favor and send me a picture of your finished product?

Faskolor makes a color like that. I use it. It is called Faschange Blue. Basically a pearl with a blue tint with the angle you hold it it. works pretty well.

The basic Iridescent is like Dinger said...a blue pearl...In order to get the French pearl effect I use steel blue (like a royal blue pearl) added to the iridescent as I go up the bait al little darker each time...when you get to the back add a little black for the back. Put down some netting and one coat of just the iridescent over the black and you are golden!
