Epoxy Top Coat

Does anyone use some kind of clear epoxy or something else after the powder coat. If so what's your preference? Will any clear coating harm the powder coat?

I use Devcon 2-Ton Epoxy on just about all my jigs and spinnerbaits. I paint then cure in the oven and afterward I put a coat of Devcon on and there are a few reason why I use it. The first is it dries clear, and stays clear and that makes the colors really come out. The next reason is simple, it is easy to use and self leveling in that it doesn't leave brush strokes or ends up in one spot. The final reason is it is thick enough that it only requires one coat and it doesn't need a turning wheel but it does do on nice with no problems.

I put a coat of Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails clear, with some glitter mixed in, to add glitter to my heads sometimes.  

It would work to coat the heads.

Otherwise, I fish them with just the oven cured powder coat.

For jigs,slabs and lure bodies I just use powder paint.

I do not normally clearcoat over powder paint. Cured powder paint is pretty tuff stuff.

But on some jigs especially my foil coated ones D2T  is the stuff I like to use.
