fishon-son Posted August 28, 2015 Report Share Posted August 28, 2015 no its more like a blender its call a magic bullet...i use koser salt put a cup in at a time and the that thing do its job...makes it like powder the finer the salt the better your bait...its the best for tubes..i use to use popcorn salt that was fine..but this thing beats that salt hands down...you can get them at wal-marts and i see them in garage sales.....you wont get the salt any finer....just do little at a time... Is there a way/ratio/alternative additive to get a "salty flavored" bait without making it sink??? Example: Berkley Powerbait... Big Ray Posted August 28, 2015 Report Share Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) Hey emptystriger I want to throw in my recipe. I use 4:2:1 ratio to make my stick baits. It goes in this order Plastic:Salt:Softner. I use Baitjunkys soft and it makes a pretty good stick bait. It falls just like a real Sinko but it is a little softer so they don't spit it. And I like to use this salt http://www.amazon.com/Morton-Salt-popcorn-salt-3-75-oz/dp/B004AY25P0 . That popcorn salt works really good you don't have to grind it up to make it suspend. When you grind up regular salt it gets real clumpy and you will get clumps of salt in your stick bait. It is also less cloudy then ground salt. I have to be honest and tell you that I don't really Bass fish and I am just getting into it. But my friend who is the owner of that Stick bait mold uses that recipe and loves it. fishon-son Posted September 4, 2015 Report Share Posted September 4, 2015 sand worked...or glass lol the popcorn salt is hard to come by in larger containers or bags...i found it in walmarts or meijers but it was a small container...and not cheap....i do a cup or two of koser salt in the bullet and it works out fine never had a harding issue or clumping....just dont store it outside after im done with my baits what i have left comes inside with me....if you like salted baits you need to get a bullet you illbe happy you did....
