Remember...we use the same criteria for videos as we do photos here...If it is a " look at what I made and watch it swim" video..it will be deleted..Nathan Yep. And I should have prefaced or titled my video "A Short Tutorial On Conditioning a Cat", and not look what my dog can do. Totorial, how to, and "this is what's wrong how do I fix it" videos. jrhopkins Posted August 26, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2015 made it from plywood and 2x4's that I already had. assembled with Beats Nails adhesive and screws and then double caulked all the inside joints. then I coated it inside with a spray on vinyl coating. made a camera view port on one end to shoot video and put a drain faucet in the other end that I hook up a garden hose to drain it. works good but I need a cover as dust and stuff gets in and floats on the top. idiot cat also will balance herself and drink out of it. never mind she has a bowl of clean water in the house! 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Some instructional, some just showing a new lure in action What if they could post all those videos here??.... Just think of all the excellent swim action videos by Diemai and others. It would be very useful to be able to access all of these swim action videos in one location and be able to flick through to find what you are looking for. You would also be able to limit searches to the video forum. After some more thinking on the subject, further to my comment in post No11, I do believe that there is enough video material for a video section. Kurt - can you give this idea some serious consideration. I appreciate that there would be a lot of setup work involved. You would not have to relocate existing threads, simply allow the video to be re-posted or double posted. The video post need only be a brief description of the video purpose or content plus relevant links to other related threads. Vodkaman Posted August 26, 2015 Report Share Posted August 26, 2015 JR - super tank solution, very tidy and professional looking. Quite a different solution to mine. I like the raised frame. I will probably have to do this on my next tank, as the ground is very uneven and on a slight slope. The one piece, sealed design allows for side reinforcing without using support props and allows a direct video window. I will still be going for a dry screwed modular design on my next tank, with a plastic liner. This is because I cannot guarantee where I will be living more than a year ahead, so everything I build has to be modular, capable of breaking down into movable pieces. The raised frame does mean that I will have to come up with a better idea than support props, but I am already working on solutions. I like the drainage system, another bonus of the raised frame. I will be able to do something similar too. You will definitely need a cover. This will allow you to keep the water sweet for up to two years in my experience. I'm running my own YouTube channel publishing lure,-and fishing related clips in there , during past years I had also linke some of these vids here on TU and I've never faced any complaints about these being inappropiate or even had them deleted . During the very past years I haven't linked any videos in here anymore , though , since obviously some changes with the site did occur , so that straight linking does not work for me anymore using my Internet Explorer browser , dunno why , ...maybe I'm just too dumb? My clips are not perfect by far , not at all , ......but I'be always tried not just to show off my lure work for display's sake , but always tried to add some words of explanation to it or share my experiences gained and knowledge earned , even though it's not that easy for me to talk on camera , especially not in my native language , ....it's just about enthusiasm and passion for luremaking . Just about two or three weeks ago I had received a YouTube comment by an Australian luremaker giving credits for the inspiration , that one of my vids(displaying and talking about a large "Creeper" topwater lure) did provide for him , his own first creeper prototype caught him three Murray Cod on the first trip , .......and this is , what it's all about for me making such videos , even as humble as they come ! I also have the opinion , that some kinda video gallery might put TU to a higher level , but I would differ between two , or maybe even three kinds of video topics , which would be in first place pure intructional or how-to clips , second would be display,-or swimming action videos , put up just to be able to explain matters better and more visually . Third section might be just fishing and catching fish with homemade lures or tackle . First and third topic could have their own topic space in the forums , whereas the second point's clips I've mentioned could be posted into the particular threads , just to render the discussions more visual . Here in Germany there is a luremaking forum , that has it's own YouTube channel frequently putting up very well-made instructional clips on different aspects of luremaking , ......and as far as I'm concerned , these are highly regarded by members , guest and also YouTubers . But these clips are not submitted by forum members , but made by the three owners of the site , .....but which , in my opinion , does not make such a big difference whether instructional videos are member submitted or put out by the staff exclusively . In the past , I did also benefit from video clips put up here in the threads , in particular I recall the making of a knock-off of a vintage lure called "Jim Pfeffer Banana" , ......not having access to an original vintage lure , forum member "littleriver" gladly provided elaborate assistance to me in terms of exact measurements , pictures and also swimming action videos of the original lure , finally enabling me to come up with a few quite accurate homemade versions of that lure model, of which one had caught me my one and only seatrout so far , .......and even a trophy one !
