"sleeper" Vibrating Jig Blade Material

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, as a new guy here on TU I feel it is appropriate to share a home brew tackle trick that I started doing about a year ago. The lid of a Plano type tackle box that I was storing crankbaits in broke on me and I had a wild idea to make a chatterbait blade out of it. I traced it using a spare blade, cut it out with tin snips and deburred the edges with sandpaper, drilled the holes with a small drill bit and assembled the bait like an ordinary vibrating swim jig. I have been very pleased with the results, probably as a result of the different vibration/sound/less flash than the typical metal blade. Something to keep in the back of your mind
