Priming Wood Baits

Recommended Posts

Fishnet, you are going to get so many opinions on this. I have found that each has found their own way or use someone else's.

This is what I get out of this topic and it is, try to keep water out of the wood and keep the water from the paint. Some here will spend great amounts of money to accomplish this. Some may spend very little. Some will use high tech sealers and coates and some will not.

At the end of the day if you keep the water away from the bait and the paint you are doing great. That is truly the name of the game and the weight that is added by these applications. One other thing about the sealer, the color of the sealer gives you different shades of the next colors being used. Example if you want darker colors, use a black sealer.

Still you will get some good advice by asking this question. Good luck,

Dale
