Actually, sharing is what the site is all about

Best plastic to use? This is purely opinion... The question has been asked before with several different answers

Best place to buy is the place you can fill all your needs.. Shipping isnt free, so find a supplier you can order everything you need from rather than ordering from several different sites

Grade?.... I guess you mean soft/med/hard... Depends on your needs... I like the soft formula... More action and better hook sets.... Some will argue about durability, but when the fish tear em up, i get to make more!

Hey guys. I'm just like Wannabe. New to this myself. Dabbled a little pouring lead now going to try plastics. Trying to get comfortable with suppliers. Who else besides baitjunkies, doit, lurecraft, m-f is out there for plastics. Kind of budget restricted so i want to make my experience a positive one.

Tackle Underground is the best tackle making member site.  ALL the others are just shills for their owners.  I was afraid TU was going to go that way when it was bought out by a commercial tackle supplies interest, but other than a little more advertising it doesn't seem to have.

There are some Yahoo groups and some Facebook groups on tackle making that are not shills or fronts, but they tend to be a little more narrowly focused.  There are also one or two groups on LinkedIn on tackle making.

Weird.  I could have sworn there was a post about forums in this thread, but upon review I don't see it.

i'm a newbie as well, trying to properly vent my third home made rtv silicone mold is proving much harder than i thought.

I have a large sincle cavity, two-piece mold that i have been injecting about 8oz of plastic into. I have 3 vents in the top, thinking of adding a fourth.

any tips or tricks to making sure no air pockets are left inside the mold cavity?
