willgohome
still trying to find out why salt is added to the plastisol...anybody know? I read soft plastics 101 and about 1000 (mas o menos) soft plastics posts and learned about different salts you can use but not why its used. Sorry to be so dumb...its really not my fault....thanks Will J
Tm Customs
It is added to make the baits sink and flavor them it also helps the hold sent better. If you search TU you can find more on this.
willgohome
Tm Thanks for the reply, My interest is for saltwater striped bass fishing and it seems that the salt won't be necessary for my uses. Will J
Tm Customs
Nope I would use calhoun plastic w/ hardener. How much I don't know since I dont use it, I mainly fish for Bass. Stayed the weekend on the delta we cought some stripes on some live shad we cought. I know stripers are vicious so you plastics will have to be a bit tougher. You can get everything you need at www.del-mart.com mabey dlew can help you out as far as the hardener goes. Good luck let me know what you come up with.
