RTS Posted March 21, 2017 Report Share Posted March 21, 2017 Does anyone have any experience with making a "fixed" body inline spinner. One of my favorite lures has a tapered, cylindrical body that stays put (is attached) to the wire and doesn't slide up and down like most inline spinners. The lures comes in a few sizes and lots of colors based on the paint of this "stationary" body. My thought is that the wire must have a little kink in it to help keep it from sliding up and down. I'm not sure that a straight wire wouldn't eventually pull through the lead body. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JLS Posted March 21, 2017 Report Share Posted March 21, 2017 The wire would have to have a loop tied on the end for attaching a hook, the loop would not pull through the body. I'm only guessing but I would bet that they are bending the loop for the hook and laying the tag end alongside the main shaft, then slipping the body over both (or they are having the bodies molded that way). I would think it's a tough job to put a small kink in the wire and keep it from popping through the narrow body . Seems like it might have to be a custom mold job if I want to try to make these.
