Large production machine for soft plastics

Recommended Posts

Do you want a hand injection pot system, or do you want an injection machine?

For what it's worth an injection machine will run you $20,000 + and the molds will run $5,000 and up each depending on complexity and design. They DO NOT operate with our small hand molds.

Ultra Molds Mini Shooting Star has 2 aluminum pots at 2 quarts each. Their large Shooting Star has 2 stainless pots at 2.5 gallons each.

If you want an actual injection machine (remember you have to buy all new "production" molds for it) get in touch with Leonard at BaitJunkys, he has a friend selling several used production machines.

Not to hijack this thread, but with the mini shooting star do you just dip in your hand injector and shoot your molds?  How many baits can you make on average with a 6 oz injector?

How many baits you can shoot with a 6 oz injector depends on the size of the baits obviously (and how many cavities you have).

And no, the Shooting Star setups use their own injector designed to operate the manual valves that allow you to draw plastic directly from the bottom of the pots and draw plastic from 2 separate pots simultaneously to inject laminates.

with new molds what would you say the avg, perduction per an hour is on them, and are they in good shape /

Thank You

From what I understand they are freshening up all the machines so they should be in perfect working order, hell, there are a few production shops that are running the same machines from the same guy as we speak.

Production wise, you are looking at the same type of equipment that your major mass produced baits are made on (strike king, zoom, berkley etc)

This is not hobby or small business type equipment, it's a production machine made to run production molds.

FYI, a brand new machine built for you will run between $30k and $45k depending on options.

Does anyone know of companies that make a large scale production machine for soft plastic baits, I have seen Jacobs baits machine but it only hold one quart, any ideas?
