MF Plastic

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have a quick question. Is MF plastic really safer than others?  It says non-toxic. I just want to make sure its safe before I expose my wife or son to it. I have used Calhouns and Chemionics and  always wear a respirator. Any comments or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jim

Yes, all are non toxic until cooked or burnt. A respirator and ventilation are a must. PVC cannot be good for you. I use ventilation and now will wear a respirator for sure. I think a closed and contained system with ventilation is the best way to deal with any fumes. Nobodys plastic is safe when cooked.  Really dont have a lot of options to contain all fumes. I guess a respirator with something like a shooting star system with ventilation legs going to vents may be the safest option. Gonna have to look around at options.
