CNC Molds N Stuff Posted December 8, 2017 Report Share Posted December 8, 2017 Drop out sometimes works. If it doesn't try a light dusting of talcum powder. The powder breaks up the surface tension of the lead and causes it to flow better. I had thought the talcum powder acted as an insulator like the graphite in Drop-Out does, but I've been studying up on resin casting lately and ran across that tidbit about talcum powder and resin. It makes sense since it often causes lead to flow so much better that it even flashes into vents if the lead is on the hot end. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
