I have seen some cool templates printed with a 3D printer, thought I would give it a try. These are for an undefined pumpkinseed pattern. I have done wiggle warts, s-cranks, 1.5 square bills, 2.5 square bills and DD, and I am working on some others that I am not familiar with, but they look like deep diving rapalas.. but I am not sure. I have used my printer for a bunch of stuff in lure making but I never had the interest of spending 20 hours tweaking a shape to match the body’s themselves. I simply print a flat pattern like hexagons or scales and use a heat gun to form the stencil around the bait which provides a really exact match with no gaps for overspray.
