cheesehead
Why not use polycarbonate? It's relatively innexpensive and can be mail ordered to your house or purchased @ any good glass shop or home center.
ckarren
Sorry, You are talking about PC as Lexan or Polycarbonate. Do a search on Lexan or Polycarbonate that is in an old post. -Corey
Charles Mitchell
Lurehead03, I purchased some from world of Plastic here in Tennessee. I do not know if they have that store where you are from. It is the thickness that you are talking about. As you might know a lot of the crankbait makers in TN use this stuff especially around the Knoxville area. I think that they got if from Oak Ridge government plant to start with. I think it makes a great bill or lip whick ever you want to call it. Sent me an email and I will see if I can help you with the stuff and tell you how I am using it. mitcheal
As anyone had any success using old CD's for lips on smaller baits or are they too brittle? Fishing is not a life or death matter, it's much more important than that!
FishBooger
I havent used old CD's for lips, they seem kinda weak for lips. I am going to cut up an old CD's and see if I can put them on the sides of a flat-sided crank. I'm thinking that bait would have some nice flash. I'd knew I'd find a use for those AOL CD's I keep getting in the mail. :-)
LaPala
CD material is polycarbonate, ie: Lexan. Bend one and you'll see it's not brittle or break, they just look filmsy since they are only 1mm thick.
