Just thread a partial tab threw the eye just enough to pull it through the body . Anglinarcher Posted March 8, 2018 Report Share Posted March 8, 2018 The only other way I know of is to use a small metal tube to poke a hole through it, feed the strands through the tube, then pull the tube leaving the strands. I use either a Knit Picker https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dritz-Clothing-Care-Knit-Picker/52203443 Or a large eye needle. If you wan't to go crazy : http://www.jsflyfishing.com/hareline-zuddys-leg-puller Here are some instructions to do what you want to do for a foam body bass bug: http://www.wapsifly.net/foam-poppers-2/ Normally the plastic bait will keep enough pressure on the skirt material to keep it centered. Sometimes it helps to tie a knot in the middle of the strands. If you still feel that they may be too loose (unlikely) you can put a drop of crazy glue in the hole after you have your material centered. All my pics died with my last computer . But Get you some good quality marabou and like I said a carpet needle unless you are going to do something 4 or 5 inches. Run it through the bait then stick the quill end through the eye of the needle . Bend the quill tip back over the eye pull it threw . you will need to lube the first half inch of the feather . Once out adjust the length and snip the quill. Now if you want something like that for a ned head , cut a senko in half and follow the same procedure except you will probably need a leather craft needle . I liked the floating pinchers and the skirt materials constant movement was killer. How many strands do you pass thru at 1 time? That must have been a big needle!
