Recommended Posts

lets start ...

1. build a mold (lego + steel plate and some hot glue to hold it)

2.mix up som silicone..just to hold the lure in place. and let it dry..this way the lure will stay in place

put som rubber band on 2 perforated steel plate

3 put in silicone to cover the lure and the 2 steel plate

5 heat up a hot glue rod ..it will hold the 2 steel plate

6 time to turn the molde over..and cut it clean

7.build one more wall of lego and add more silicone and let it dry.

7a.take off the lego and cut it open to take the lure (only cut just what is needed to get it out)

To use it:

press together the 2 steel plate with one hand and pour with the other one down the crack.

And slowly let go so it closes  the crack.

took me a little bit to figure this out. cool idea. the one question that I have is, what are the rubber bands on the steel plates for? how far in from the edges are the perforated plates? I assume that the hot glue stick is to keep the plates in place and later removed

so silicones can run on the other side and into the small holes.so they are molded into the mold

yes the hot glue stick is just to hold the plates in place. and you can remove it after the silicone is dry.

2 cm/0.78 in on both sides

yeah, I can see cutting will be a real bugger. I bought steel mending plates at home depot. drilled out 9/16" holes throughout the bottom half. Enlarged the 2 top corner holes and inserted 2 #10 x3 bolts and screws. Tightening the nuts holds the plates perpendicular.  Sorry for posting my pic here. I can't figure how to post in photo gallery
