High Temp Mold Silicone

Recommended Posts

Yep, go to the auto parts store and get the Permatex High Temp Red RTV Silicone Gasket Maker.  https://www.permatex.com/products/gasketing/gasket-makers/permatex-high-temp-red-rtv-silicone-gasket/

I use it on my Midwest Finesse jig mold, specifically in the hook eye part of the cavities. I have poured about 1200 1/16oz jig heads so far and it is still holding up, in fact I have all the cavities done with it and it works well and so far is lasting. The last thing is the temp range, it says it is good to 650 degrees but I pour at 725 with harder lead and like I said, no issues at all and I've used my mold hard.
