DDO Posted November 7, 2018 Report Share Posted November 7, 2018 I have been getting back into tournament bass fishing the past couple of year and my Dad gave me a bunch of his old lures to go through. I found some hair jigs that seems to catch fish better than the plastic style jigs for whatever reason or another. I want to make these hair jigs as I can't find them for sale anywhere or really anything similar to them. These jigs are well over 25 years old but I only have 3 or 4 left. Could someone point me in the right direction as to any good lure building website with materials for sale and what type of paint would be best? A pic of the jigs that you're trying to duplicate would help us give you more specific info. One thing about making hair jigs..."less is more." That is, people tend to use way too much hair when starting to make hair jigs. I'm as guilty as anyone on that count.
