LucasJ
When I lay my hair down and start to wrap the thread, on my first wrap the hair wants to wrap around with the thread. Is there a technique to avoid the movement with the hair? Should I wrap just the hair once or twice before wrapping it to the hook? Tying bucktails btw. toadfrog
Lat down a grip wrap on the hook shank going from head to point of hook and back to the head. Take 2 loose wraps while hair is in place . Pull tension on the thread and spread the hair around the hook shank with your index finger trying no to let loose of the hair . Pull tight and start wrapping back moving your fingers as you fell the thread make contact .Then add your chenille or whatever, finish out the jig.
