Jolicious
Hey everyone, The answer is probably here somewhere, but after a while of searching, I can't combine the right words to find the right thread I guess. I am about to paint some blanks for a friend of mine, and am already dreading the clear coat. Top water plugs, with gill slits in them - how in the world will I get a good clear coat coverage without filling in the slits? I normally use a 2 part mix (akin to Envirotex or something like that) as a clear coat. I really appreciate any ideas / help. Thank you Joe. ravenlures
If the lure is not big I would try KBS and dip them, its a lot thinner and you could blow out the gill area with a airbrush will need two dips or three depending on size. KBS will turn rock hard just let cure for a week after dipping. Wayne

mark poulson
You can use clear nail polish.
azsouth
I dip them with KBS then blow out the slots using as little air pressure as possible, to much pressure will basically ruin the finish. My .
