painting with a raised look

Recommended Posts

i was wondering if it would be ok to paint a bait. Then coat it using a five minute epoxy (which people tell me yellows over time), then paint on a gil, eyes or anything else to give it a raised look and then coat it with some devcon or other epoxy that does not yellow. Will the 5 min still yellow? has anyone else used the raised look, does it work.......thanks

Sounds like a good idea, but I would take the time to use a finish that won't yellow. It's worth the extra time...plug making can be an exercise in patience anyway!

Most of us who use foil, use finish over the the foil, then paint leaving part of the foil exposed, then top-coat with another layer of epoxy.
