first shoot, need a little help

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody - I'm new to the site and new to making my own soft plastic baits.  I searched through the dos and don'ts section but didn't see anything I needed (good info in there, just not to my issue).

I ordered a Do-It mold for some 1.1" and 1.35" bluegill baits.  The bottom section had a whole bunch of extra plastic while the top section baits came out great.  Not sure why.

Also, you might be applying too much pressure when injecting.

I usually clamp on all 4 corners. I’ve got some molds that  seem easier to get flashing on  than others so I clamp all 4 corners & then  put one on each side of the injection port.  I use the plastic spring clamps from Walmart so it only takes a few seconds to apply them anyway so no big deal.
