featherlite

Recommended Posts

I have used both and each one has its advantages. The one thing I don't like about featherlite is that the microspheres in it float to the top and cake together. Then each part has to be remixed thoroghly before it can be measured and mixed. Some of that "cake" on the top seems to never break down all the way and needs to be strained.

The good thing about featherlite is that your castings turn out super smooth.

Hey Overkill,

I been playin with the 5lb foam I got here and getting smooth casts from that as well. I switched from talcum powder to mica powder and get perfect pinhole free casts everytime now from either foam or f-lite.

That crust on top the featherlite part "A" is caused from air getting to it. It dries out the top surface and won't mix back in. Before closeing it up try a dry gas blanket. Extend-it comes as an aerosol. It creates a blanket of Co2 that sinks below the air and protects the product.
