Lure--Prof
Not if the coat is as you want it, nice and smooth. Just give it a quick alcohol wipe and commence recoating! Dean
apb
If I am doing a second coat, I'll scuff the first coat with a scotch bright pad, wipe off, then do the second coat. The scuffing gives the second coat something to grab onto. Andrew
kellure
I'll scuff up the first coat of devcon for better paint adherence also.

mossy maker
Dean, What does wiping with alcohol do for you? Do you use household rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol? mossy maker
apb
The alchohol removes the dust particles from the sanding and provides a clean surface for the next coat of epoxy. The household stuff has worked fine for me. Andrew
