can't get a hold of water slide decals and was gonna foil and/or print onto regular paper and glue it on
do you foil over your regular base coat???

I have used Super Glue, but I have been using Contact Cement with great success. Yes I apply it right over my base coat. The contact cement is like the Rubber Cement, only stronger and it wont glue your fingers together. The Contact Cement has worked great for both foil and paper for me. I dont know if you have that in Scotland though. Cody

I am using Super 77 spray adhesive from 3M. The label states "Bonds many foils, plastics, papers, foams, metals and cardboard."
I spray the adhesive on the lure, let it tack, then place the foil on it.
Hope this helps,

Elmers for paper, and the adhesive backed foil for foiled baits.

I use short curing time (5 min) epoxy to stick the alu foil on. The foil is "floating" for a while over the glue layer, so you have plenty of time to set it right. In half-way setting the wrinkles can be smoothed nicely.
I apply normal primers under the epoxy/foil layer, standing on the safe side.
