Legendary Lures Posted July 1, 2005 Report Share Posted July 1, 2005 Okay, let me try to head off a couple things at the pass so I can quickly get a good answer: - Yes, I could have used the search, but I didn't. - I'm more interested in the plastic part than actually getting deeply involved with the making of the part. Sorry, with that out of the way, here's my question: Can I expect a mold made from pine and coated with epoxy withstand the heat of melted plastic? Thanks in advance! nova Posted July 1, 2005 Report Share Posted July 1, 2005 Pine is a very pourous wood which means it will hold moisture and air better than a hard wood. Maybe you should try maple or ash. GB GONE Posted July 1, 2005 Report Share Posted July 1, 2005 LOL LL.... I have used a wood mold before and if it is coated well with 2 ton, you will have no problems at all.
