I was testing a few new musky baits the other night and was not happy with the action of one bait. The spinnerbait is a 1oz H-style head with tandem bucktails. The bait sports a #7 willowleaf with a #5 on the shaft. On the retrieve the bait wanted to roll on its side (the bait ran sideways). I examined the blade arm and it was straight with the hook and body arm. I also tested a similar bait the same weight and blade configuration but with a silicone skirt and it tracked fine even with a fast retrieve. The bucktail spinnerbait tracked straight only when I slow rolled it . I have several requests for the tandem bucktail spinnerbaits but I won't sell anything that I'm not satisfied with. Any suggestions fellas? Thanks!

davy crockett.

It is probably the torque of the blade as they spin, drawing it to one side.

Try bending the upper arm slightly to the side OPPOSITE the direction that the bait leans when it is in the water. That might help.
