What is Paulownia wood?

The adv. here has this wood listed in the bodies that Lure Hardware is selling, I am not familiar with this wood, what its comparison with the woods we typically use such as balsa or baswood :?:

The paulownia is lighter than jelutong but not as strong. It is just as light as balsa but alot stronger. It naturally resists water. It doesn't soak up finishes like balsa so it takes less to seal the wood. If you are environmentally conscious, unlike jelutong paulownia doesn't come from the rain forest. There are good and bad things about all woods but with paulownia the good by far out way the bad. I really don't know why anyone would'nt use it for lures.
