i went to the store to get a 3/32" lexon sheet.they didn't have it.but the expert at the counter said lucite is the exact same thing.just a different company.to make a long story short.lucite is not lexon.for you beginners like me.well a lesson learned :(

Instead of Lexan ask for polycarbonate. Lexan is just a trademark name for polycarbonate. Try a glass shop.

go to mcmaster-carr at mcmaster.com, put in "polycarbonate" into the search and choose the size sheets you want and number.

I bought 6 sheets of 24" x 24" for $66 ($11 per). That's 24 square feet, which is less than the 4' x 8' sheet, but a lot easier to initially handle.

I get mine from Home Depot but forgot what they charge. If you are "dabbling" in making your own bills they would be a good stop. They sell small sheets just in case you decide you would rather buy your own bills.

If you go to any retail outlet, don't hesitate to ask if they have any scraps. You may be able to buy the stuff at a steep discount or they may even give you the odd shaped pieces.
