3D eyes

Recommended Posts

I might start putting some 3D eyes on some leadheads. There will be an indintation on the heads. Is this difficult to put them on and will they stay?

Do they come with sticky on the back or do you have to glue them?

Someone told me that some people clear coat over them. I hope to powder paint, bake and then put eyes on. Does this sound reasonable? :?:

They do have a adhesive on the back, but you will still need too put something over them to protect, and hold them in place.I always epoxy over mine...if you don't want to top coat them, try a drop of super glue in the eye cavity..that might be enough to hold it in place..Nathan

I have made some 1 oz Sauger jigs with 3D eyes on them.

The jigs were round head and after I poured them, I would

lay them on an anvil and hit them with a hammer to put a flat

side in the head. I then powder painted and super glued the

eyes on. I used the gel type super glue. It worked extremely

well. Seldom did an eye come off.
