When my dad first presented the idea of making my own lures I though okay real easy. Now I've been reading a lot of your guys posts and wow its not so easy. Well I ordered some stuff a couple days ago. I got two of these in three inches http://www.staminain...shadbodies.html. Two different sized screw eyes. Some size 6 short shank trebs and size 4 regular shank trebs. This lip http://www.staminain...plug_bills.html size 1. Some mounting screws and that's it. Can you guys help me out with this and hopefully I can start making my owns stuff if I decide I like doing this. Also how do I make my own blanks out of balsa. How is the balsa cut, what kind of tools, etc. And what do I need to paint my blanks.

The best thing to do is look at the "How To" section, Tutorials. They have a wealth of information that will walk you through the process.
