Brad
I want to try to make my own wire leaders for muskie fishing. I will be using .029" wire and the finished product will be 12" long with wrapped loops on each end. my question is, can the Boggs Tacklemaker or Hagen's Bender make 12" wrapped leaders or are they too long for the machines. Thanks.
dlaery
I bought the Hagans and plan on doing bottom bouncers. I was told that it would work fine for that. I have not tried it yet.
Pop
Boggs makes an extension for longer wire. Check their website http://www.tacklemaker.com/home.html Pop
LedHed
Brad If all you are going to do is leaders, you are probably better off making a jig on a board with two nails. Some flush cutters and wire bending pliers and you're set. Wire benders and spare parts can get expensive. Check out eBay for used benders. Herter's are the same as Cabela's and Thompson's are the same as Bogg's.
