HOMEMADE POT ADVICE?

Recommended Posts

I just aquired a small presto frydaddy and cooked a cup or so of plastic in it and it worked pretty good. However, it brought the plastic to 350 pretty fast and I am wondering if I should buy a thermostat. If so, do any of you guys know where I can pick one up and what the specs on it should be? Also, where should it be instaled. I would think that it should be spliced into the cord between the wall plug and the frydaddy plug but I am not sure. I also need some advice on some sort of a spigot/valve. I have read that a ball valve will work, but what size? I was also concered that the ball valve will be a pain in the butt to clean. Also, keep in mind that I would like to run some heavly salted plasitc through it for sticks. Anyway, any advice on these two items would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, and happy holidays!
