Would any one know what the weight is on this bait?

Actually, Coley, they are no longer in production. They sale on E-Bay sometimes for as much as $300 each!
I posted your question to another board where a lot of the guys use to throw them. I asked for the weight of the 9", as that is the only size that I know of for the hard bait.

Seems like I read sometime back that they weighted around 3-4 oz...nathan

Guys thanks for the replies, A friend of mine ask if I could make him something close to the orignal Castaic hard bait. I have found some info on the bait like the pic I posted earlier but can't seem to get much more.
I did read that some of the baits like this are up to 7oz. I don't know what type of wood that was used. I have started one using balsa and i guess i will keep adding weight till I get it like I want it. Heres a pic of it befor adding hook hangers and weight. I will post new pic when finished

Hey Guys, Thanks for all the help. I finished it . It weights 4.040 oz and has a great swimming action. See what you think.

nice looking trout im in to that style of bait right now. curently working on 10`` pike with fins .
