are those a soft plastic body wrapped around a jig of some sort? I can't really tell by the pics.

They are Yum craw bugs wrapped around a wooden frame making them a slow sinking crankbait. When the body gets tore up,just peel it off and glue a new one in place..Nathan

Too Cool Nathan!! I've played with this idea in my head for years and years but have always kept it on the backburner...hard for me to get out of the balsa dust anymore...Congrats, Great work!!!

Beautiful baits. What a great idea and well-executed too. Two thumbs up!

Those look really nice, How do you keep them from catching everything but the kitchen sink ? meaning they are bottom baits with the trebble hook and the hard tails snagging on everything ?
#17Posted 12 February 2007 - 11:33 AM
They sink very slowly, giving you very good control on depth. Also, the leading hook on each trebble is cut off eliminating most snaggs..Anything else?..Nathan
