Chopper blade

Recommended Posts

Living up to is hard to quantify, but they do have an entirely different feel and flash. For single spins I do not think they will disappoint you. Believe the Stamina blades are made by Lakeland.

I still have some old Chopper Bee's in with my Tarantulas and Spence Models :) . I think Bumble Bee just went quietly into the night like so many other good companies that were blown away in the expansion of the Strike Kings and etc in the late 80's early 90's.

I have been happy with colorado blades and wide willow blades for "thump", but never considered an indiana blade. I've used indiana blades as the second blade on a tandem though.

I plan to order some 1/2 oz SB heads soon, so I'll give the one chopper blade a shot before I order some.

Thanks,

Shawn

Does anybody here actually know the guy who used to make them? Would be nice if we could get him to drop in for a visit.

The guys name is Bob Pingel. He used to live (may still) around the Oakland area of Bull Shoals. It has been nearly 20 years since I have seen him and he is a super guy. Last time I saw him he was playing around with a rod I think he called "comfort grip".

First of all I would like to say thank you to everyone on this forum. TU has really helped me get started in making my own spinner baits and soft plastics. What an exciting day when you can go out and catch a fish on something you made!!!

I have made several different colors of the chopper blade spinner bait and caught many fish with them. I think it is just something different that the fish haven't seen yet. I think the ones I made are 3/8 with a #4 chopper blade.
