sand between Etex coats?

Will this strengthen the overcoat? One fella I know will apply the extra coats while the first coat, and subsequent ones, are tacky. What does everyone do? Thanks.

You can apply a second coat before the 1st is cured according to the manufacturer. You can also let it cure, give it a quick alcohol wipe and apply the second coat without scuffing the first coat, again according to E-tex. If you believe overkill is almost good enough, scuff or sand off the shine of the previous coat, remove dust, wipe with alcohol, handle with gloves to avoid finger contamination and re-coat. People here do all three and it all works.
