Finally have a few baits that need hooks. Seems the first few will never need them Looking for a source for good hooks in quanities of about 40 in each of three sizes. Like triple grip, but would like to hear some other brands that you guys like.

Captain Hooks discount warehouse is the place. We started putting triple grips on baits and a lot of guys did'nt like them. I personally have had no problem with them. We finally went to round bends....Gammys I think.

I use Gammy EWG hooks on all my lipless baits. I usually put a red up front and a bronze in the back. I just pick them up at BPS or local. I really think the EWG helps bass stay hooked up on the lipless baits. I would also use the Mustad triple grip. It is a good hook also.

Obviously, opinions differ! For Triple Grip style trebles, I like Mustad Ultrapoints which are stronger but the same basic design. I use Gamakatsu Round Bend trebles on all my personal crankbaits. They're very sharp out of the package, strong, and stay sharp. Plus I favor their non-flashy "stealth" finish. Expensive but worth every penny in performance, IMO. The cheapest place I've found to buy them is here: http://www.buyfishin...katsuhooks.html

I personally like the ultrapoint triple grips, but that's largely because I like to mash down the barbs. Owner is a bit pricey but makes a very good hook.
