jrmeade77
Has anyone made a two piece mold for this bait? Did you have any problems? What material did you use to make the mold? Did you need to make air holes? I'd really like to start making these and want to make my own mold, but I wonder how well it will work since the claws are so small. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? Thanks. Jason
jmik26
Lurecraft sells a mold for this bait. I have heard that Netbait has a patent on this lure though
HAWGHUNNA
Just curious.....how Lure Craft can sell the mold of a patented bait? And by the way...Has anyone tried thier Paca molds? Those things make super-d-duper jig trailers:yes:
jrmeade77
2 things I guess. Lurecraft's mold is 1 piece and I don't think will deliver the action that NetBait is famous for. On the patent issue. How does that work? Am I in violation if I make a mold of a patented lure, even if I only use the bait for "personal use"? Thanks. BAssKickin
The way I look at it; what the big guys don't know...won't hurt them. If it's for your personal use and you made the mold...go for it!
dockboy
Won'ty ahve the same action as the original Paca Craw. Netbait make'em with a hollow body and a different way to make the claws, so it floats weel and has great action. It would very toguh to repilcate that in a single or even a double mold. jrmeade77
It is NOT the paca craw. Is the Tiny Paca Chunk. http://www.lakemartintackle.com/ProdImages/tinypacachunk.jpg I just made a 2 piece POP mold this evening. Will update on my findings. - Jason
