I don't know if these are hybrid baits or not, I have some buzzbait heads sitting around and thanks to my friend NATHAN sending me a few peices parts I assembled these spinnerbaits on a buzz frame. I tried them this evening, they run great and really come over the cover well, they seemed to go thru grass better than a normal spinnerbait and worked the riprap well too. So what do you guys think? Thanks Nathan, I am just surprised at how well they run. Don't be surprised to see some show up in Clinton, maybe you can help me test them out if you have the time? JIM

Thanks Coley, but I bet someone has done this a time or two before, seems like every idea I have has been done before. JIM

Celticav, Nice looking lures!
You're right though, it's been done before, sort of, I've never tried it with buzzbait wire forms, but have bent spinnerbait forms to a very similar shape to work them right at the surface like a buzzbait. I haven't seen any produced commercially like that. #10Posted 09 November 2003 - 04:31 PM
That kind of reminds me of a shortarm style spinnerbait, even though its longer in length. Try using a single large colorado blade on it, but cut down the arm length and watch how much extra vibration you will get. If the blade is that far away from the body it tends to add more wobble to the bait as well.
