I saw a small duck get pulled under on a small lake with pike in it. i was standing on a dock and couldn't see any fish, but the thing didn't come back up

I worked on a sportboat here in so cal for years and more than a few times things have been thrown over the side only to come back over the rail in a fishes mouth, usually sand bass. The funnyest thing i saw was a sand bass that hit the deck and spit out a plum pit some other guy was eating earlier. Ive seen plenty of chicken bones in fish but one time i cut a yellowtail and found a whole deep fried chicken breast!

I used to fish the cove of a small lake I lived near. I could see a very large bass, maybe 10 or 12 lbs going back and forth across the mouth of this cove. Once in while a bird would land by the shallow pea gravel bank for a bath. Old Mr bass was waiting nearly every time, and sometimes rushed up like a killer whale beaching himself momentarily trying get the birds.

An fishing buddy of mine caught a brown trout here in Virginia at Quanitco Marine base, he cut open the stomach and it was packed with cigarette butts.

Was on Lake Wimico part of the Appilachicola System and was working my way down the shore line that had a good supply of Cypress Knees. Well I saw a Bass "Flip" an Acorn onto one of the kness .. Naturaly I backed off and watched what was going on. Here comes a Squirrell and jumps on the Acorn .. well partner let me tell you he had no sooner landed on that knee than a Big Bass nailed him. Gosh I don't belive what I am seeing when here comes another bass and he flips an acorn on the same cypress knee .... Need I say more and if you belive this you will belive anything =:^)

On the flipside,
I was at Marine World and watched the workers feed the animals in the small ponds and exhibits around the park. There was a small long legged water bird that picked up a small food pellet and as he walked around the waters edge he would drop it in the water and eat the small minnows that would come up for the pellet. He then would pick it up and move to another spot. Had it been a natural pond, he might have been lunch.

This is just a crazy(True) story about what the fish ate i was fishing at a little pond and im reelin in my lure and all of a sudden a largemouth bass hits. So i bring him in, but my dad is all the way on the other side of the pond and he wants to see it so with the fish still hooked i let him back in the water. Once my dad is about 15 feet away the fish just went crazy splishin and splashin and im like " what the heck" so with an even bigger fight i bring him in. But while the bass was out in the water another 17 incher was jelous of the 1st bass's catch and went for the lure as well. when i got the fish on the shore i saw what had happened one 17 incher on the front hook and another 17 incher on the back. 2 fish for 1 lure. true story it was funny to see

When I was about 14 I used bacon and dough balls as my regular at a farm pond. It usually caught catfish and bluegill. I ran out of bait so I started looking around the shore for something to use. I found a very old and weathered ciggarette butt. I joked about using it and my friend convinced me to put it on . I could not stop the blue gill assalt that followed. The fibers of the butt made it hard to remove so I caught a dozen or so before it came off. just strange.

I caught a 4lb Largemouth in a swampy pond on a farm once, and as I unhooked it, I saw a small leaf in its throat. I pulled the leaf out, and I found out that it was not a leaf, but a baby alligator snapping turtle! The turtle was still alive too! Crazy stuff.
